Doors open at 11:30 AM for networking and lunch. Presentations begin at 12:00 PM, and the event concludes at 2:00 PM.

Cindy Brown — 12:00 to 1:00 PM
Cindy Brown, Outreach Coordinator with the Mississippi Department of Medicaid, works to educate the public, bridge communication gaps, and help Mississippi residents navigate an ever-changing healthcare system.
Her presentation will provide attendees with an opportunity to learn more about Medicaid resources, outreach, and the information available to individuals and families across Mississippi.
Laken Jones, RRT — 1:00 to 2:00 PM
Laken Jones, RRT, is an AAC Consultant and Educational Trainer with Cook Medical Supply, specializing in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
Laken works with individuals, families, caregivers, and professionals through consultation, device demonstrations, education, and training. Her presentation will introduce attendees to AAC and show how communication tools and technology can help empower individuals with communication needs.
